Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2025

1. Introduction

Strivon ("we," "our," or "the Service") is a career toolkit that helps you build resumes, share trackable links, run cold outreach, and view analytics. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: When you sign up (email/password or Google, GitHub, or WakaTime), we store identifiers, name, email, and profile image as needed for your account and sign-in.
  • Profile and content: Information you add to your profile (username, bio, links, skills, projects, recommendations, tags), resume files and LaTeX content, and cold-email templates, shortcuts, and recipient data.
  • Outreach and email: If you connect Gmail, we use it to send emails on your behalf and may store metadata (e.g., sent time, reply status) to show outreach history and follow-ups.
  • Analytics and usage: When someone views your resume or profile, we may record view events and related technical data (e.g., approximate location, device, browser, referrer) to power your analytics dashboard.
  • Integrations: If you connect GitHub or WakaTime, we receive and store the data those services provide (e.g., repos, activity) to build your proof-of-work or analysis features.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to: provide and operate the Service (e.g., hosting your profile, generating PDFs, sending emails, showing analytics); improve and secure the Service; and communicate with you about your account or the Service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for advertising.

4. Storage and Third-Party Services

We store data on our own infrastructure and use third-party services to run the product: for example, databases for account and app data, cloud storage (e.g., AWS S3) for resume and profile assets, and OAuth providers (Google, GitHub, WakaTime) for sign-in and integrations. Those providers process data according to their own policies and our instructions where applicable.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use session and authentication-related cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We may also use analytics or performance cookies to understand how the product is used and to improve it.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update or delete much of your data from within the dashboard (profile, resumes, templates). To close your account or request other data actions, contact us through the support or contact options in the Service.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data in line with our retention practices, except where we must keep it for legal or safety reasons.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data (e.g., encryption, access controls). No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and keep your sign-in details safe.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If changes are significant, we may notify you by email or through the Service.

10. Contact

For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us through the support or contact options provided in the Service or on our website.
